Schumi---The living legend

A LIVING LEGEND - Micheal ( Shumi ) Shumacher

Passionate . Ruthless . Ace stratergist . Record breaker . Genius . Leader .

The top reosons why i will remember Micheal Schumacher

Schumi as popularly known was in top gear even on the day of retirement and the fact that he took the title fight to the wire in his final year, is a testament to the man's dedication and motivation to stay at the top.A Person who had become habitual of winning and often turned the game into a boring pridictable procession took his final bow last month in Brazil.

The Seven time World champion was Born on 3rd january 1969 .

He started his career like most greats do , karting.
However, Michael could not obtain a kart license in Germany because the minimum permissible age to obtain it was 14.
To get around this, he obtained a Luxemburg license that was allowed from the age of 12. In 1983, he obtained his German license and the year after he won the German Junior Kart Championship.

Seven years later, he made his Formula One debut at the Belgian Grand Prix with Jordan-Ford.

He won his first driver's championship title in 1994 and repeated the feat in 1995.

In 1996, Michael moved to Ferrari stating he had set a new challenge – that of returning the Italian giants to the pinnacle of motorsport. Prior to this arrival, Ferrari had not won the driver's title since 1979.

CONTROVERCIAL SCHMI

Schumacher was the kind of athlete who never gave up and never admitted his mistakes. His career, therefore, was heavily under the scanner from the early stages and the media and the sports' regulatory authorities took turns to criticise and censure him.
From the Australian grand prix of 1994 where his infamous collision with Briton Damon Hill for winning the tittle, to his trying to run Villeneuve off the track in europe in 1997 he was involed in a lot of controvercies. He was also involved in what is probably the biggest black day for Formula One when in Austria in 2002 Ferrari ordered Rubens Barichello, who had dominated the race from start to finish, to slow and allow Schumacher to win. He did so at the last turn.

Micheal Schumacher take a bow

But in spite of these aberrations, one would have to agree that he had the determination and absolute love and passion for the sport.
His ability to take risks and produce high - speed laps at key parts of a race are an inspiration for everyone in the sport, And while his competitors criticised him, they also know he was the best .

He is a legend and will be missed, but it was time to go and I will be among the scores of people who would in years to come boast of having seen Michael Schumacher in action. Goodbye SCHUMI .
